Task Management

Learn how to create and manage your tasks efficiently in Listee.

Creating Tasks

Basic Task Creation

  1. Locate the input field with a "+" icon at the top of any category
  2. Type your task title
  3. Press Enter to create the task

Smart Task Creation

Listee helps you reuse previously completed tasks:

  • As you type, matching completed tasks will appear in a dropdown
  • Matches are based on the beginning of the task title
  • When you select a previous task:
    • A new unchecked task is created
    • It's placed at the top of the category

Managing Individual Tasks

Basic Task Actions

  • Check/Uncheck: Click the checkbox to toggle task completion
  • Edit Title: Click the task text to modify the title
  • Delete: Click the (×) icon to remove the task
  • Reorder: Use the handle (⋮⋮) to drag and change task position

Task Ordering

  • New tasks appear at the top of the category
  • Drag tasks using the handle to manually reorder
  • Completed tasks stay in their current position
  • Task order is preserved within categories

Bulk Task Management

Edit Mode

  1. Click the edit icon (pencil) next to the task input
  2. Select multiple tasks by clicking them
  3. Available actions:
    • Move Tasks: Transfer selected tasks to another category
    • Delete Tasks: Remove all selected tasks at once
  4. Exit edit mode by clicking the edit icon again

Moving Between Categories

  • Enter edit mode to select multiple tasks
  • Click "Move to..." to see available categories
  • Select destination category
  • Tasks will be moved while maintaining their relative order

Bulk Uncheck Completed Tasks

  • In the Completed tasks section, look for the "Uncheck all" button
  • Click the button to uncheck all completed tasks at once
  • Confirm the action when prompted
  • All tasks will remain in their current order, but become active (unchecked)
