Learn how to share and collaborate on categories with other Listee users.

About Sharing in Listee

Important Note

Only users with existing Listee accounts can be added for sharing. New users cannot be invited directly through the sharing feature.

Sharing Overview

  • Share categories with other Listee users
  • Collaborate on tasks with others
  • Everyone with access can manage tasks
  • Changes are visible after page refresh

Before You Share

Make sure the person you want to share with:

  • Has a Listee account
  • Is using their registered email address
  • Has verified their account

Sharing Categories

How to Share a Category

  1. Click the menu icon (⋮) next to the category name
  2. Select "Share Category"
  3. In the sharing modal:
    • Enter the user's email address
    • Click "Send" to share

Note: The "Inbox" system category cannot be shared.

Managing Shared Users

In the sharing modal, you can:

  • View all users who have access under "Shared users"
  • Remove user access by clicking the (×) next to their email
  • See all users who can access the category

Collaboration Features

Current Access Rights

All users with access to a shared category can:

  • View all tasks
  • Create new tasks
  • Edit existing tasks
  • Delete tasks
  • Reorder tasks
  • Manage category settings

Working Together

When collaborating in a shared category:

  • Refresh the page to see the latest changes
  • All users can modify tasks and categories
  • Changes are synchronized when the page is reloaded

Best Practices

Organizing Shared Categories

  • Use clear category names
  • Communicate with collaborators about task management
  • Regularly review shared access
  • Remove access when no longer needed
