Basic Usage Guide

Learn how to use Listee's core features effectively.

Creating Tasks

Basic Task Creation

  1. Locate the input field with a "+" icon at the top of any category
  2. Type your task title
  3. Press Enter to create the task

Task Reuse Feature

When typing a task title, Listee will show a dropdown of previously completed tasks that match your input:

  • Matching is based on the beginning of the task title
  • Selecting a previous task will:
    • Create a new unchecked task
    • Place it at the top of the category

Managing Tasks

Individual Task Management

  • Completing Tasks: Click the checkbox next to any task to mark it as complete
  • Simple Editing: Click on the task text to edit the title
  • Quick Delete: Click the delete icon (×) next to the task to remove it
  • Reordering: Drag the handle (⋮⋮) next to any task to change its position

Bulk Task Management

  1. Click the edit icon next to the task input field to enter edit mode
  2. Select tasks by clicking on them
  3. Choose an action:
    • Move Tasks: Click "Move to..." and select the destination category
    • Delete Tasks: Click "Delete" to remove all selected tasks
  4. Click the edit icon again to exit edit mode

Task Organization

Within Categories

  • Tasks are automatically ordered with new tasks appearing at the top
  • Use drag and drop to manually reorder tasks
  • Completed tasks remain in their position
  • Edit mode allows for bulk management of tasks

Between Categories

  • Use the bulk move feature to organize tasks across categories
  • Select multiple tasks and move them together
  • Choose any existing category as the destination
